15.04.2025The International Poultry Council meeting was held on 7-10 April in the largest city of the Kingdom of Morocco, Casablanca. More than 250 delegates from national industry associations, leading producers and other players in the global poultry sector from 46 countries attended it. The National Union of poultry producers and Resource Agribusiness Group (which has been a member of the council since 2017) traditionally represented Russia.
Ahmed Bouari, the Minister of Agriculture, Marine Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forestry of the Kingdom of Morocco, was the official guest of honor at the event. In his speech he emphasized the role of poultry farming in ensuring global food security and congratulated the International Poultry Council on its 20th anniversary.
The business program focused on the key issues in poultry farming and related industries. Among those were sustainable development of the industry in a constantly changing geopolitical environment, consumer trends, digitalization and the possibilities of using artificial intelligence, ways to increase the attractiveness of the sector for young professionals, and many others.
Moreover the participants visited production sites (slaughter complex and deep meat processing plant) and got acquainted with the work of the Interprofessional Technical Center for the Development of Livestock and Poultry Farming (ZOOPOLE).
