Resource Agribusiness Group: 2024 Results Overview

Resource Agribusiness Group has been operating on the market since 2002. It is one of the largest Russian producers of food products and occupies a leading position among domestic exporters of poultry meat, sunflower oil and wheat.

The structure of the Group combines production divisions that implement all technological processes: from crop production, meal and compound feed production, meat and egg poultry industry, meat and dairy livestock production to meat processing, including deep processing, production of vegetable oils and other grocery products, semi-finished products, dairy products, shell eggs and melange, as well as finished products delivery to trading partners and their promotion on the markets.
Today Resource Agribusiness Group land bank is about 680 thousand hectares. The company grows grain, oilseeds and other agricultural crops for its own processing and production of compound feed, vegetable oils, flour, as well as for sale to external contractors.

With a production volume of 1.07 million tons in live weight in 2024, Resource Agribusiness Group maintains its leadership among domestic producers of broiler chicken meat. Feed production volume is 1.92 million tons, vegetable oil production – 346 thousand tons, RTC and RTE products – 171 thousand tons.

Following the global trend towards the popularity increase of products that require minimal heat treatment and the fact that semi-finished products hold a growing share of retail sales, Resource Agribusiness Group continued its consistent expansion and integration of Ready-to-Cook and Ready-to-Eat production capacities into the technological cycle. At the end of 2024, the Company commissioned on the Stavropol Territory a specialized facility Avgust Meat Deep Processing Plant with an annual capacity of 120 thousand tons of finished products. Furthermore, Vladimirskiy Standart meat processing plant with an annual production volume of over 60 thousand tons of sausages, meat delicacies and semi-finished products in the Vladimir Region.

The Company continued the development of its dairy production, starting from 2023, and the total production of drinking milk, butter and cottage cheese tripled by the end of 2024 compared to 2023.

The shell egg production became a new area of activity for Resource Agribusiness Group in the past year. The Company's specialists are developing this direction at the Gulyai-Borisovskaya, a vertically integrated poultry complex in the Rostov Region.

In the same region in 2024 Resource Agribusiness Group completed implementing the project of a single cluster of sheep breeding complexes that maintain up to 54 thousand heads of breeding stock and up to 30 thousand heads of young sheep for fattening. In order to scale up the capacity and genetics of high-value breeds, as well as to form highly productive breeding stock of sheep in Russia for sustainable growth in lamb production, the Company plans to further develop the project.

Last year the Rostov Region also became the base for expanding the Group's production and warehouse infrastructure. Among the new facilities for Resource Agribusiness Group on its territory is the Oktyabr Distribution Center with a throughput of 1,200 tons of products per day. The investment project for the warehouse construction was implemented from June 2023 to October 2024.

The cooperation of Resource Agribusiness Group with educational institutions in the regions of presence reached a new level in 2024. The company acted as a strategic partner of the Stavropol State Agrarian University and provided sponsorship support for the complete reconstruction of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology hall. A classroom for food production processes and equipment for student technologists in the Tambov Regional Agrarian and Technological College was renovated and equipped at the expense of Resource Agribusiness Group.

Throughout the year, career guidance excursions and internships were held at the Group's enterprises for students from Stavropol, Michurinsk and Samara State Agrarian Universities, Kostroma State Agricultural Academy, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), Nevinnomyssk State Humanitarian and Technical Institute, Sergiev Provincial Technical School, Usolsk Agricultural Technical School, Pyotr Machnev Construction and Energy College and many other higher and secondary specialized educational institutions.

Moreover, the Company launched in 2024 special program “First Job”, which gives everyone without any previous employment experience and aged 18 and over the opportunity to try their hand at the agro-industrial complex. The project has proven its effectiveness and will be continued; this year young people can become a part of the program from the age of 16.

Considering the fact that Russia's domestic market is self-sufficient in terms of basic food products, one of the decisive drivers of the development of the agro-industrial complex is export. In this regard, Resource Agribusiness Group continued increasing the volume of foreign deliveries, expanding the range and geography of sales.

The Resource Agribusiness Group specialized plant for processing lamb, that had been previously approved for export of this product to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, also successfully extended the accreditation of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in October last year to enable further development of foreign lamb supplies.

For the year of 2024 the Company exported 182 thousand tons of poultry products, which is 25.5% more compared to 2023. Saudi Arabia retained its leadership among importers of the Group's products (68.5 thousand tons), followed by Kazakhstan (31 thousand tons) and China (almost 30 thousand tons). Last year Resource Agribusiness Group also resumed and significantly increased the volume of poultry products deliveries to trading partners from African countries. About 6 thousand tons were exported to Angola, Gabon, Ghana, Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia and Mozambique. Guinea became a new market for the Company on this continent.

The export volume of sunflower oil produced by Resource Agribusiness Group amounted to 250 thousand tons (+2% compared to 2023). The top importers included Turkey (134 thousand tons), China (22.3 thousand tons), India (21.3 thousand tons) and Iran (19.7 thousand tons). New markets: Bahrain, Vietnam, Yemen, Cuba, Namibia, Togo. In addition to India, the Company resumed its deliveries to Egypt and Kenya.

Wheat flour became a new product category in the Resource Agribusiness Group export portfolio last year. The volume of shipments to foreign trading partners amounted to seven thousand tons.

In order to maintain the current dynamics of exports of Russian agricultural products, the Company's specialists continue to analyze global trends and search for promising areas for delivery. Participation in international events of various levels plays an important role in this process. In 2024 the Company's food products were presented at the largest industry exhibitions in Dubai, Shenyang, Shanghai, Riyadh, Cairo and other cities. One of the results of this work became an increase in the total number of foreign markets to which the products of Resource Agribusiness Group had ever been supplied – to 75 countries of the world.
