19.05.2025The XVI International Economic Forum "Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum 2025" was held in the capital of Tatarstan in May 13–18 and once again confirmed its status as the leading international platform for dialogue between Russia and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation countries. Representatives of 103 countries took part in it.
Representatives of Resource Agribusiness Group held a number of working meetings with partners and also took part in several events of the forum business program. Senior Vice President, Director of External Relations and Sustainable Development Dmitry Antonov spoke about the last year results and further prospects for the halal direction development at the "Export of Russian halal products: expanding horizons" panel session, which was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and Agroexport Federal Center.
Dmitry Antonov reported that Resource Agribusiness Group supplies the largest volume of poultry products to Saudi Arabia, the Company primarily focuses on the Kingdom's standards when organizing halal production and expects further productive cooperation with trading partners from this country.
"At the same time, we strive to expand the geography of supplies and are working on opening new markets. We hope that Indonesia, Algeria, Malaysia and others will be among them in the near future. The infrastructure for the halal products production by Resource Agribusiness Group, created with the help of the best world practices, allows us to develop exports. Thus our customers can be sure that they receive real halal, which meets all the requirements of Islam," the speaker noted.
The discussion of halal product exports further development continued at the Business Dialogue: Russia - Qatar, organized on-site of Business Russia forum. During the discussion of cooperation between the two countries, Dmitry Antonov cited the data for the export of broiler chicken meat and sunflower oil produced by Resource Agribusiness Group to the Qatar market, emphasizing the serious potential for increasing volumes in the near future.
