On September 26, Dmitry Antonov, Director of External Relations and Sustainable Development of Resource Agribusiness Group, spoke at the plenary session "Russia-India: Mutually Beneficial Cooperation in Agricultural Trade." He discussed the company's long-standing cooperation with India and noted that the company has been supplying sunflower oil to the local market since 2021. Moreover, shipments multiplied in 2025, and over 50,000 tons of sunflower oil produced by Resource Agribusiness Group have been supplied to the Indian market for the period of the eight months of this year.
During their visit to India, representatives of Resource Agribusiness Group discussed approaches and initiatives planned for implementation under India's BRICS chairmanship in 2026, including the harmonization of veterinary and phytosanitary standards and the reduction of barriers to access to BRICS markets.
Being a major Russian food producer, Resource Agribusiness Group places great importance on developing trade and economic ties within multilateral cooperation formats such as BRICS and the SCO. The current partnership between Russia and India in both associations will not only facilitate the expansion of trade in oil and fat products but also strengthen mutual economic ties overall. The Group notes the high potential of such collaboration for the development of scientific and technical cooperation, the implementation of joint research projects and programs in the agricultural sector, and the development of preferential conditions for expanding mutual trade in agricultural products.
